  3. Use the HTML File Mapper program (HTML_MAP) to help you manage your 
  4. html files for the World Wide Web.

  7. What is HTML File Mapper?
  8.

  10. HTML File Mapper is an html file management program that aids in the 
  11. management of information resources for pages on the Internet's World 
  12. Wide Web.
  13.  
  14. The HTML File Mapper program can be a significant aid in managing Web 
  15. page projects, especially if a project is large, involving numerous links 
  16. to other Web resources, such as html files, graphic images, and URL's.  For 
  17. large projects, it is important to maintain documentation about which html 
  18. files link to which resources, where the links occur, etc.  This information 
  19. is of particular value when updates to Web pages are needed.  The program 
  20. can be used to insure that all required files are included in the updating 
  21. process.

  23. Basically, HTML File Mapper scans an html file (referred to as the Source 
  24. Document) for references to other html files, graphic images, and URL's.  
  25. The resources included in the scan are determined by user option.  Also 
  26. available as a user option is the ability to scan not only the original 
  27. source document but also all other html documents linked by the source 
  28. document.  This provides for a complete mapping of all resources referenced 
  29. in the entire Web page project.

  31. Note that HTML File Mapper operates at the local level.  It does not 
  32. function as an on-line program to map resources while the user is logged 
  33. into the World Wide Web.  Also note that HTML File Mapper is a Windows 
  34. environment program.

  37. diskette label for installing the program.  Then use the Help menu option 
  38. to find A Brief Tutorial.

  40. The HTML File Mapper program is distributed on a shareware basis.  You are 
  41. granted a license to use this program for a specific period of time.  Please 
  42. read the license agreement contained in the program's Help system: use 
  43. Help...Search For Help On... from the menu bar and find License.  For
